Rules

General

EMelvan.se is an online fantasy manager game where you select 11 players from any team in the Euro 2016. After each fixture of the Euro 2016 every player receives points based on his performance in the game.

My Team

Here you will find all important statistics about your team's performance. You will also find links to the functions described below

Transfer

Each team receives 100 millions to spend. Before your teams first fixture you have unlimited transfers. Later on you will receive 2 transfers per fixture. Only player sales are counted as transfers. After the group stage each team will receive 4 transfers per stage, and possibly an extra amount of money as well (depending on which team remain in the tournament).

A player's value will vary during the season based on the player's performance, popularity etc.

Each team may only contain 11 players from the same team and only 5 with the same team and position. When we enter playoff these restriction will be updated, since there will be less and less teams left to chose from. We will post updates on the site!

Note: Your team needs to be "done" at the time for deadline, all players bought/sold after this will not be included in the players that you will receive points for during this fixture. See below Deadline section for which players that you will receive points for.

Groups

If you want your team can be part of an official/private group, the only difference is that you easier can see how your team performs compared to the teams in the group. Each group also has its own guest book where its users can comment. This is a great way to challenge your friends and show who is the best coach!

Groups with less than 3 users are cleaned up on a regulary basis

You can be a part of 10 groups at the same time.

TOTO

The goal is to predict the score for each game in the fixture. Points are provided as below:

10p for the correct score

5p for a correct draw

3p for the correct team as winner

Preferences

Here you can change your user credentials that you submitted when you registered. This is also where you set if other users should be able to see your line up before the fixture is started. You can also select your favourite team if you want to do that.

Deadlines

The players that your team has at the time of deadline is the players that you will receive points from for this fixture. Any buy/sell made after deadline will only afect your team for the next deadline. Hence if a game in one fixture is the day after deadline you cannot buy "new" players just before this game and get points for these for this game.

Deadline for each fixture will be half an hour before the first game in the fixture.

During the season the players in EMelvan will recieve points after each game based on their performance in the game. Actions during extra time count but penalty shoot-outs do not.

It is the players that your team had at the time of deadline that you will receive points for. If a game is postponed you will still get points for the players affected, but of course not until the game have been played.

The game statistics are based on official information from the press. We take no responsibility if the information we receive is incorrect.

MoM

Points for best players in the game are updated within 48 hours. We will use different national news media as input for selecting the best players.

Assist

Assists are awarded to the player who made the final pass before the goal was scored. If an opposing player touches the ball after the pass, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given.

Rebounds

Assist is awarded if a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by the goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored on the rebound.

Own Goals

If a player shoots / passes the ball and forces a player to put the ball in his own net, then an assist is awarded.

Penalties and Free-Kicks

In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given. (No assist in case of handball situations!)

Extra time and Penalty shoot-outs

If a game enters extra time all events that occurs during this time will give points as normal. This means that for a player to receive points for clean sheet his team must not conceed any goal during the extra time either.

Penalty shoot-outs do not give any points.
